Job Highlights

  • Manage all site operation (production, warehouse, laboratory, admin, etc) and its personnel.
  • Ensure safe operations of the plant, by monitoring and controlling all HSEQ drivers (Plant and process safety/occupational safety/environmental protection/health protection/compliance/quality), Carrying out safety studies, Documenting current plant condition, Generating and updating safety instructions, standard operating procedures, and work instructions. Generating and coordinating risk management plans. Obtaining and updating licenses, approvals, permits, etc.Implementing technical measures, resulting from legal requirements and statutory obligations regarding plant safety, occupational safety, environmental protection, etc.
  • Manage the execution of the site activities, according to the targets and goals established, distributing, guiding and monitoring the subordinates tasks, ensuring their alignment with the processes, quality standards and settled deadlines. Ensure full compliance of all employees with LANXESS Performance culture and directives for work safety, occupational health and operations. Provide guidance and enable training and continuing education of personnel.
  • Monitor the plant and process technology. Ensuring plant availability and the safe technical function of the plant. Steering the production, managing the quality and conducting cost management/economic feasibility studies.
  • Manage costs for capital investment, maintenance projects and optimization of plant process. Seeking for chemical-technological changes and improvements.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. in engineering or related technical degree or a minimum of 10 years in a supervisory function in the chemical or pigment industry.
  • Professional must have leadership experience, problem solving skills and the ability to implement practical solutions, with diverse functional groups, which often to not report directly to the incumbent.
  • Must have the ability to analyze financial implications of either business decisions taken or a proposed strategy and recommend and implement the appropriate course of action to maximize profitability of the product line.
  • The incumbent is part of a global business and must therefore be able to co-operate with the different regions.
  • The job requires outstanding communication , interpersonal, motivation, and persuasive skills.
