For the next ten years, he served as Executive Vice President for the Beauty Care business. In May 2016, Mr. Van Bylen was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Henkel AG & Co. KgaA. He performed this role until his departure in December 2019. From September 2018 to March 2020, Mr. Van Bylen was President of Verband der Chemischen Industrie e.V. (VCI).
